Julia's Playtime

We were able to enjoy the weather last week and headed to the park. Julia, Daddy and I played hard. She really likes the slide and swing.

Julia has been busy since Christmas playing with all of her new toys. She is a good mimic of both Daddy and me - careful what you say. She is also quite sassy even though she will tell you "I not sassy, you sassy." Sassy two-year-old - check.

Although she really enjoys all of the new toys she got for Christmas (her laptop seems to be a favorite), her favorite "toy" is Daddy's iPhone. It is amazing how quickly they learn how to use technology...she is definitely going to surpass John and me.

Julia has had a very busy December. She stayed overnight with Grandma + Papa as well as Sam and Mary. It sounds as if they had a good time but I think Grandma + Papa were tired. They did make a cake for Aunt Susan's birthday during their slumber party.

Julia had fun baking a cake for Aunt Susan's birthday.

Julia also had a Christmas program at school. She sang Jingle Bells...or at least that was the idea.

Picture 1: Dressed and ready for her holiday program at school.
Picture 2: Our only picture from the trip to see Santa. It wasn't love at first sight.

She had a wonderful Christmas. John and I really enjoyed Christmas with Julia this year. She loved unwrapping presents and has been playing with her new stroller, dollhouse, books and puzzles every day. We will post some Christmas photos soon.

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and wish you the best in 2009.

We're Back

Sorry it has been so long since our last blog. We have been up to quite a bit in the few weeks (ahem...months) we have been gone. Julia had a great Thanksgiving with family at Grandma Rose's house (see photos). We are off to a wonderful December. The weather was nice enough to visit the park today so we took advantage of it. Julia loves the slide so we had to share a video of her fun today.

P.S. - We did figure out that 'Buckey!' is her blankie. :) Not be confused with her 'bunky' or binky.

"Buckey"

Julia and Daddy had fun lounging in bed a few nights ago before bedtime. Julia was very excited and was yelling 'buckey' everytime we took her picture. What is buckey you ask - we have no idea. Blankey - No. Monkey - We don't think so. We will eventually learn what 'buckey' is and why she is so excited about it. Until then, enjoy our photos.

OU/TX Weekend

As one of our OU/TX friends pointed out, we are a little behind on the blog. I finally downloaded some photos so we are ready to post about OU/TX. Julia couldn't wait to get to Texas to see her friends (notice the huge smile). She had a great time visiting her friends and playing hard. She was sad the Sooners lost but she cheered the Pokes on and it worked. We were all happy we could be there to celebrate with Denise and Bill. It was the best shower Julia has ever attended. A park and cake, what more could a girl want?!
