Are you ready for some football, soccer, dance???

Pictures (L to R): Jules and Daddy having anniversary ice cream. Our friend Aimee gave Jules some fun play mustaches. Doesn't it remind you of Mario Brothers?

Who knew the life of a three-year-old could be so taxing?! Jules started a new class a few weeks ago and is still trying to decide if she wants to stay there. (Little does she know she doesn't have a choice.) While she's made a few new friends, Jules still has her "best buddy" Holden with her.

With the new school year comes new choices, Tumble Bus, music, dance, soccer and the list goes on. Julia has been adamant that she wants to take dance and was quick to sacrifice Tumble Bus for the chance at dance. Dad and Mom are "talking about it" and hopefully Dad can be persuaded to pay for the most expensive DVD (recital video) he will ever own.

In the meantime, Jules signed up for soccer at our local Y. I attended the parents meeting yesterday where I learned that her team has no coach or assistant coach and practice begins next week. "What will they do?", you ask. Apparently, I am now the assistant soccer coach for Julia's 3-year-old team. (You can stop laughing now.) Holden's Mom volunteered to be coach if they couldn't find someone over the holiday weekend...I'm guessing next Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. we will be coaching our first practice. It should be interesting since neither of us played soccer.

In honor of our 10 year anniversary, we decided to have a romantic dinner with Julia and the local frozen custard shop. We thought we might as well do something memorable and fun since she is significant part of the past ten years and the greatest gift we could have given to each other. Plus, it was pretty nice having an excuse to eat ice cream for dinner.

John is off to the first OU game and in the spirit of the football season I tried to get Shorty to sport her OU t-shirt for Dad. She refused. She would not even consider wearing it. He convinced her to put on the OU jersey for a photo and she promptly removed it. I actually felt kind of bad but only for a minute. Go Pokes!
